LIVONIA, Mich. — Oct. 23, 2026 – Two Trinity Health At Home agencies – MercyOne Des Moines Home Care and Saint Joseph VNA Home Care – have been named among America’s Best Home Health Agencies 2027 by Newsweek and Statista.

MercyOne Des Moines Home Care earned the No. 2 ranking in Iowa, and Saint Joseph VNA Home Care placed No. 2 in Indiana. Both agencies were also recognized on the 2026 list, marking the second consecutive year they have been recognized among the nation's best home health agencies.

“Being recognized for the second year in a row is a meaningful achievement because it speaks to sustained excellence,” said Dan Drake, President and CEO of Trinity Health Continuing Care. “Our teams work every day to provide exceptional care experiences, and this honor reflects their dedication to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes and personalized support for the patients and families we serve.”

This national recognition places both agencies among the top 300 home health providers nationwide, selected from more than 10,000 agencies across the country. The rankings were determined through a comprehensive, data-driven evaluation that considered:

  • Quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

  • Peer recommendations from health care professionals and administrators

  • Patient experience surveys from the Home Health Care CAHPS (HHCAHPS)

  • Accreditation data from The Joint Commission (TJC), Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP)

These four pillars reflect the highest standards in clinical outcomes, safety, patient satisfaction and professional reputation. Recognition for a second consecutive year highlights the consistency, quality and patient-centered care that have become hallmarks of both agencies.

“Exceptional care at home is made possible through the collective efforts of many dedicated colleagues,” Drake said. “When clinicians, leaders and support teams work together with a shared commitment to quality, patients and families benefit. This recognition reflects that culture of collaboration and excellence.”

This national honor underscores the exceptional professionalism, compassion and clinical excellence that Trinity Health At Home teams bring to patients and families every day.
